I haven’t really been reading Sir Walter Scott for the past year (I may have overdosed on him the year before), but for most of that time I’ve been wondering why the heck his nephew’s biography of the man wasn’t available online.

My wonders have been dispelled.

Memoirs of the Life of Sir Walter Scott, Volume I (of 10) by J.G. Lockhart is now up at Project Gutenberg. (So is Volume V, so I imagine the other eight volumes will follow shortly.)

As if I have nothing better to do with my time. 🙂
