The “Curse” of Dramarama

In 1989, Dramarama is signed to Chameleon Records… after releasing “Stuck In Wonderamaland,” the company is sold and moves offices from California to New York City, all the bands except us are dropped from the label, and many fine folks lose their jobs… In 1993, soon after releasing “Hi Fi Sci Fi,” Chameleon Records itself goes out of business, and many fine folks lose their jobs… In 2005, 33rd Street Records, a division of Tower Records, releases “Everybody Dies”…less than one year later, Tower Records goes out of business, and many fine folks lose their jobs… ..and every TV show we were ever on was canceled soon after, with the exception of David Letterman, who only had to change networks… This Sunday’s show with Devo has been canceled.
